Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

 

You are cordially invited to our MES Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Children are invited to attend with their parents. Please note that children must remain with their parent(s)/guardian(s) at all times and adhere to our school's expectations of safe, responsible, and respectful behavior throughout the event.

 

This night is a chance for you to:

• Visit your child’s classroom;

• Learn about signing up for a conference time with your child’s teacher; 

• Meet your child’s Special Area teachers;

• Meet other staff who may be supporting your child throughout the year, including our Academic Intervention Services teachers and our Pupil Personnel Services staff;

• Check in with the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center to learn more about their programs and what they do;

• Learn about the Seal A Smile program offered to our students;

• Sign up to be a part of our PTA;

• And say hello to me, your very proud Principal of MES.

 

Please take note of the following: 

• Classroom teachers will be sending out specific information on any classroom/grade level schedule, activities or information they will be sharing during their respective session.

• Our teachers/staff will be touching base with all of their students and families during this time, therefore, they will be unable to hold any meetings or discussions pertaining specifically to your child during our back to school night. Please hold these discussions during parent/teacher conferences or at another time with your child’s teacher.

 

Please note that due to capacity and parking we will have 2 sessions as listed below:

Session 1: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, & 5th Grade from 4:45pm - 5:45pm

Session 2: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, & 2nd Grade from 6:00pm - 7:00pm

 

Our Special Area teachers, Academic Intervention Services teachers, as well as our Pupil Personnel Services staff will be available to meet and chat with you from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
