Dear Mechanicville Community:
As you may already know, several districts in our area have made changes to their upcoming school calendars for Monday, April 8. In alignment with these changes, we’ll also be implementing a slight adjustment to our calendar, with the district closed on April 8 for all students and staff. This decision extends our Spring break by one day. Furthermore, we would like to announce that an additional day off will be observed on Friday, May 10th.
These additional days off provide an opportunity for everyone to recharge, and spend quality time with friends and family. With no snow days utilized thus far this year, we’re fortunate to have these days to use without disruption to our academic schedule.
This extended break will allow students, teachers, and staff alike to return on Tuesday, April 9th ready to go as we continue to push forward towards the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.
As you make plans for the days, we encourage you to take advantage of the time to relax, engage in activities you enjoy, and perhaps even observe the eclipse safely if that’s on your agenda. We will send additional correspondence and resources for the eclipse as we get closer to the event. Above all, remember to prioritize your well-being and safety during this extended break. Thank you.
