JSHS Traffic Pattern for 2024-2025

Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and School Community,

We hope you all had a restful and eventful summer break. As we prepare to welcome everyone back to campus, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the support and patience you’ve shown throughout the summer. With your help, we have been able to complete some incredible work that has truly transformed our campus.

One of the most significant updates is our new main entrance, located on our west side of campus nearest our school sign and golf course off of Pruyn Hill Road. For your convenience and safety, we’d like to provide some important details regarding our new traffic protocols:

  • New Campus Main Entrance: The three-lane entrance/exit closest to the school sign is now the primary access point for all vehicle traffic entering and exiting campus.
  • Bus-Only Lane: The entrance on the east side of campus is strictly designated for buses. Please refrain from using this lane for any other vehicles.
  • Parking and Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up:
    • The first two inlets to the right as you enter the main entrance will take you to our overflow parking lot.
    • The third inlet is a one-way Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up loop for the Junior-Senior High School. Parents, please pull as far forward as possible in the lane and stay to the far right to drop off students closest to the sidewalk.
    • For dismissal, the painted parking spots in the Parent Drop-Off loop are for standing traffic while picking up students. Please keep the outside lane clear for vehicles exiting the loop.
    • The fourth inlet leads to our primary parking area, with spots designated for handicapped access, visitors, staff, and students. Please note that the lane closest to the building is our dedicated bus lane with one-way traffic out of the lane.
    • Map is here

While these changes may take some getting used to, they are designed to make our campus not only more beautiful but also safer for everyone. Please drive slowly, be cautious of the speed dips, and follow the new traffic patterns to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during arrival and dismissal times.

Thank you once again for your continued support. We are beyond excited for what is sure to be a fantastic school year!
