Congratulations to 8th Grade English teacher Danielle Hall on recently being named a Semi-finalist for the University of Rochester’s Singer Family Prize for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching Award.  Seniors enrolled in the University of Rochester have the opportunity to recognize and honor a teacher who significantly influenced them.  

University of Rochester Senior and Mechanicville Class of 2021 graduate, Emily Chan, wrote a powerful letter describing Mrs. Hall’s impact on her.  In her nomination, Emily describes Mrs. Hall as being nothing but exemplary, not only as a teacher but also as a role model, mentor, and person.  She goes on to say that during class in 10th grade, Mrs. HallI treated us as adults and challenged us to prepare for life after high school.
