Greetings Red Raider Community!! We hope this finds you all well and enjoying the final stretch of summer before we start our new school year! We could not be more excited to kick off the year with our kids, our amazing staff, and incredible community. This summer we have done so much to prepare for the new year such as the addition of programs, supports, and staffing, to the cleaning and preparation of our instructional spaces. In addition, we have added additional layers of security in our buildings to protect our most important cherished and valued assets, our kids! As we move toward our first day of the 2022-2023 school year, there are some important things to know:
1. The first day of school for Students will be Thursday, September 8th, 2022
2. Our start times and end times have shifted accordingly for this school year:
At the Elementary School:
Elementary School classes will start at 9:05 am – doors will open at 8:40 am for students to participate in breakfast. Students will need to scan their cafeteria cards to receive breakfast, as we can no longer provide grab and go. Also, free breakfast and lunch for all students is no longer available, all families are strongly encouraged to complete the free/reduced packet for eligibility. The Free/Reduced Eligibility packet can be found in the mailing with teacher information for the 2022-2023 school year and also is available on ParentSquare to print and return.
Elementary dismissal will start at 3:15 pm for all bus riders and 3:20pm for parent pick-up. It is extremely important that parents adhere to the parent pick-up time of 3:20pm as we need to ensure that the bus loop is accessible for buses to line up for 3:15 pm dismissal.
At the Jr./Sr. High School:
Grades 6-12 classes start at 7:47 am – doors will open at 7:30 for breakfast – grades 6-8 will access the building through the main entrance nearest the Main Office, whereas grades 9-12 will enter under the red canopy. Similar to last year, students will need to scan their cafeteria cards to receive breakfast and lunch. Note that free breakfast and lunch for all students is no longer available, and all families are strongly encouraged to complete the free/reduced packet for eligibility. The Free/Reduced Eligibility packets can be found in the main office and also is available on ParentSquare to print and return.
All grades 6-12 students will be dismissed at 2:15pm, parents arriving for pick up are asked to park in the main lot, not in the bus circle nor Kniskern Ave parking lot, your cooperation is appreciated.
