The Mechanicville City School District is excited to announce Pre-K Programming will be available in the 2022-2023 school year. The Mechanicville City School District will once again offer (2) pre-kindergarten classrooms for the  2022-23 school year. Please note a child must be 4 by December 1, 2022 to qualify for the pre-k program.  

Important Information: 

• 2 Pre-K Classes at the Mechanicville Elementary Building – 16 students per classroom for a total of 34 students

• Pre-K Hours 9:10am-2:10pm (Education Law §3602-e(12)(f) states that the minimum daily time requirement for full-day prekindergarten programs is 5 hours of instructional time daily)

• Bus transportation is NOT available for Pre-K students, parents must transport

• Students selected for a 2022-2023 Pre-K Slot have been notified via email, please obtain an enrollment packet from the Mechanicville Elementary School Office.

• Completed registration packets must be submitted to the Elementary Main Office on/before June 10, 2022 at 3:30pm or the spot will be given to the next student on the list.

• Students must be residents of Mechanicville City School District.

• Pre-K spots are limited and funding for the program is provided to the district by a grant from New York State, therefore, students must maintain a 90% or better attendance rate.
